In March 2017 BLE successfully completed installation of a horizontal fire curtain at the newly developed Preston Court, Newcastle. Facilitated by North Tyneside Council, the building provides sheltered housing for the elderely community in the area.

The horizontal curtain was supplied and installed by BLE on behalf of distributors Air Design Systems Ltd. Speaking of the installation, BLE's UK Sales Manager Jamie Wilson has said, "Projects like Preston Court really showcase the diversity of customers we work with, in the UK and overseas. Although the horizontal curtain presented a number of challenges, our dedicated install team were more than willing to go the extra mile to ensure installation was completed on budget and on time".
