PEMBRIDGE VILLAS

Located in Central London, Pembridge Villas offer stylish architecture and luxurious living in a highly desirable part of the capital. BLE was asked to manufacture three FC2 fire curtains for the villas, which were then installed by UK distribution partner Blaze Fire Technology.

Each of the curtains installed provide 240 minutes of fire resistance, adhering with the building’s overall fire safety strategy. To limit the possibility of any persons getting stuck behind any of the curtains, a Multi-Function Group Control Panel has been used to provide two stage descent; a programmable timer delay that deploys the curtain in two stages to allow egress before full deployment.

Accompanying emergency retract switches were also installed either side of the curtain so that in the highly unlikely event of a person being behind a deployed curtain, a button can be pushed to retract the curtain immediately allowing for safe egress. Once installed and commissioned, all three curtains were signed off and approved by the NHBC on-site.
