KEMPINSKI HOTEL MALL OF THE EMIRATES

Offering 5-star luxury in the heart of Dubai, the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates offers an unparalleled level of service. Ideally located on Sheikh Zayed Road and directly connected to the Mall of the Emirates, it provides 393 rooms and suites, as well as 20 stunning chalets overlooking the Ski Dubai.

Working with distribution partner Energy International, BLE were challenged to design and install fire curtains to the glazing facing Ski Dubai, inside the chalets - providing protection to the hotel and to the ski arena within the requirements of international standards.

During the installation, the team at Energy worked closely with the architects in charge of the ski chalet renovation, and changed the glazing façade shape from polygonal to a straight façade, which helped conceal the headboxes and side guides. Moreover, most of the site inspections were done at night from 12:00am to 6:00am - with several night visits carried out at 2:00am.
