EUROCENTRAL

Eurocentral is one of Scotland's key commercial developments extending over an area of some 650 acres.

Bowmer & Kirkland, the main contractor of this prestigious development, chose BLE to provide the fire curtains for the primary office building and two of the smaller blocks.

This huge office building required fire curtain protection to its entire 3rd floor atria, incorporating several hundred linear metres of curtains which are specifically designed to protect the building and its occupants from the damaging and potentially life- threatening spread of hot smoke in a fire situation.

A particularly striking feature of this building is a large central void to which BLE have installed large 12m drop curtains. Mark Gilmore was the BLE project manager for Eurocentral. “This project has been challenging, but also hugely rewarding. All of us here at BLE are proud to have been associated with such a prestigious development”

The buildings are now complete and were handed over recently, following the official opening ceremony which was attended by members of the Scottish Parliament.
