ASPETAR HOSPITAL - WEST EXPANSION

As one of the world's leading orthopaedic and sports medicine hospitals, when Aspetar decided to build the new Aspetar West expansion they searched for smoke and fire containment that could match their own high standards.

Working with Energy International, BLE were asked to provide both smoke and fire curtains for the expansion. Smoke curtains were supplied for the project's front atriums, while fire curtains were used to create fire zone separation in multiple locations thoughout the building.

Speaking of the project BLE Managing Director Nigel Ward has said, "Projects like Aspetar are a true testiment to the unrivalled quality of our smoke & fire curtains. It is a privelege to work with such a prestigious client as Aspetar and to play a part in the pioneering work they do".

Since opening the new West Expansion has enabled athletes to achieve the highest levels of performance through its facilities and advanced services which include a sports surgery training centre, an 'Exercise Is Medicine' clinic, as well as numerous rehabilitation areas. Notable patients include professional footballers Jack Butland, Shay Given and John Obi Mikel.
